Come and join in the unmissable free fun at Big Day Scout, a fun Scouting event for the whole family.

Start the day running from Federation Square on a city Wide Game with a Street Art twist. Challenge yourself and your team to find all the incredible Street Art Piece produced by our youth members with establish and emerging Victoria Street Artists.

Then, head on over to the Sidney Myer Music Bowl at Noon for a spectacular show to invest our new Chief Scout of Victoria!

What is happening at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl after the Street Art Wide Game?
At 12pm, the Street Art Wide Game draws to a close and all meet up at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl to experience a Showcase of all things Scouting!

This includes:

Live Entertainment for the whole family
Investiture of the new Victorian Chief Scout – Shane Jacobson
Adventurous Activities for everyone to participate in
Showcases of our Scouting sections – see what lies ahead in your Scouting journey
The Adventurous Activity display and Sectional showcase will include: a Mountain Bike Obstacle Course, Scuba Diving Displays in a real tank, Rock Climbing Tower, Bouldering Wall, a fantastic Environmental Display including a Solar Panel House and a Renewable Energy Activity. There will be a Ropeless Maze, Motorsport, Winter Sport and Aircraft activities, and more! Activities are for Joeys, Cubs, Scouts Venturers, Rovers, and even adults!

Plus heaps more!!

Big Day Scout, Supporting the Local Community through Service
The Rover Scout Motto is Service and at Big Day Scout the Rovers are hoping everyone will help out with several major service projects to support our local community.

The first way to help out is through our food drive to support Foodbank Victoria. Foodbank Victoria is an independent not for profit organisation that sources and distributes healthy food to community organisations to assist Victorians experiencing hardship.

Bring non -perishable foods on the day and donate it at the Rover Service Tent at Sidney Myer Music Bowl or First Aid at Federation Square.

If you are concerned about space, your loose change can also make a difference. In the spirit of Scout Dollar Day – though in August – we are going to build a massive Scouts Logo out of gold coins. So bring along dollar coins. How BIG can we get? All proceeds going to the Australian Childhood Foundation.
